My journey

My path to design wasn't straightforward, and that's exactly what makes me effective.

 I started in environmental science, where I learned to spot patterns in messy data and think in interconnected systems. I worked in healthcare with seniors and people with hearing loss, which taught me that good design can genuinely improve people's lives, especially for those who can't afford confusion or friction.

When I discovered UX design, it felt like everything clicked. It combined my analytical thinking from science, my empathy from healthcare, and my fascination with human behavior. I taught myself marketing and digital analytics because I wanted to understand not just what users do, but why, and how to measure whether design actually works.

B2B enterprise platforms & B2C consumer products; data-driven decision making & growth strategy

In my full-time work, I've led product design for B2B enterprise platforms and consumer products in fintech and healthcare. I've designed institutional retirement platforms serving major corporations, unified payment experiences across financial platforms used by millions, and built healthcare service experiences from scratch. I specialize in the messy challenges with legacy constraints, multiple stakeholders, competing design systems, and real consequences if you get it wrong.

I also consult with small businesses on ecommerce growth and brand strategy. I've helped a Korean medical tourism company optimize their digital presence and improve conversion, and repositioned a sports injury prevention brand to find their niche and grow their market. This work keeps me connected to the full customer journey, from brand positioning to conversion optimization to post-purchase experience.
